Taohe Tech's story began inside the early China operations of a leading U.S.-based EdTech company backed by Y Combinator, Bessemer Partners, and Benchmark Ventures.
Our founder spent 9+ years there — as the very first and only hire for Greater China — and personally built the team from scratch, growing it from 1 person to over 40 full-time professionals (and more than 70 including part-time staff).
During this time, he:
- Led the company's full market entry and expansion into Mainland China.
- Navigated complex education regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Developed deep expertise across sales, marketing, operations, and policy.
- Helped the company become one of China's top international language-learning brands, with China accounting for over 20% of its global revenue.
